God's Heart

In this world of endless distractions we are easily distracted by the cares of this world. The house, the companion, the ride, the job and bank account, none of which have any real lasting value. We fail to focus on that which is really important and lasting and our opportunity to affect the current war over eternal lives! Those of us (the few) that have received the priceless treasure Jesus won for us and then spend our lives pursuing the treasures of this world rather than investing our lives into the mission field will weep and wail over the missed opportunities, which we will never have again! Just imagine one life that God could have won through you if you had been available. Can anyone put a value on one person receiving forgiveness and God's love forever? Or imagine that one soul in eternal agony?

This is not written to guilt you into action, but rather to stir you to seek to have a part of God's work of saving lives, which was the point of Christ's suffering. The work is God's and He will happily use those who commit to his work and there is no greater satisfaction than to have a part in the salvation of another!!! It's the devil's work to distract and he is very good at it. He'll keep up so busy managing our goods here that we haven't the time for God's work and we are comfortable living in our own salvation which someone else played a crucial part in! So are you striving to enter the narrow gate and making every effort as instructed to do by Jesus himself? Are you keeping yourself pure from this idolitris generation or our you so immersed you have become tasteless? This is written to stir you to reexamine yourselves lest anyone be falling short. Remember the stakes couldn't be higher!!!
